As an alternative to office visits, I offer eTherapy, which is therapy over the the Internet using email. Many things can be accomplished using this method of communicating, and it obviously can be helpful if coming to the office just isn’t convenient. Some people like to do e-therapy before they decide to come to a face to face meeting. The email therapy gives them a chance to get to know me.
There are 2 modes that we can use for eTherapy:
1) You send me an email and I send you an email in reply. You would start, perhaps, by explaining your situation and asking your first questions. My email will answer your questions, perhaps ask for more information, and give suggestions for you to do on your own. Then we continue.
2) Another way is for us to use the “chat” function where we send shorter messages back and forth to each other during a predetermined sessiontime. We would plan ahead and decide how long the session will be and at what time.
I offer the first half and hour for free. Then I charge by the time I spend reading your email and responding. My fee is determined on a sliding scale just as my in person sessions are.
Let me know if you would like try this option: You can leave a reply in the box below, or call me at 608 255 8838 ext. 5
