About Me

Ann Veilleux MSSW, LSCW

a23-head-shot-bw-s1I have maintained a successful private practice for more than thirty two years during which time I have helped hundreds of people change and improve their lives.

My clients are adult men and women wishing to deal with a wide variety of issues effecting their ability to live satisfying and productive lives. These issues range from personal growth, relationships or problems at school and work, to severe depression, bipolar disorder, domestic violence, trauma or post traumatic stress and disassociation.

Credentials

  • MSSW: Masters of Science in Social Work, University of Wisconsin
  • NASW: Member of the the National Association of Social Workers
  • LCSW: Licensed  Independent Clinical Social Worker
  • EMDR: Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
  • Gestalt Therapist: Graduate of the three year Gestalt Therapy Training  Program
  • Graduate of Bioenergetics and Self Acceptance training program
  • Graduate of Transactional Analysis training program

Clinical Experience

During my thirty two years in private practice I have developed in-depth knowledge and experience with adults who were abused as children and others suffering from the effects of trauma and dissociation. I am experienced in working with personality disorders and Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). I have found EMDR to be particularly useful in treating trauma and helping survivors of abuse travel a shorter, less painful and more thorough therapeutic journey.

I see many people dealing with mood problems like depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. I am skilled at seeing and understanding the interactions between couples and family members. I provide therapy for traditional, non-traditional and blended families. I counsel divorcing or divorced couples or those considering it.

I work with women and men, couples, families and groups and with straight, gay, bisexual individuals.
