COUNSELING & PSYCHOTHERAPY
Located in Madison Wisconsin
23888900-51
a23-head-shot-bw-sI am Ann Veilleux (MSSW, LCSW), a psychotherapist who has been in private practice for over 30 years. This website is about my experiences as a therapist and about psychotherapy from my point of view.

My perspective on therapy has evolved over time as I learned from my teachers, associates and mentors, but most of all as I learned from working with my wonderful clients who continue to challenge and inspire me. I hope this will be a resource for them, for prospective clients and for any one else looking to understand how to navigate their journey through life.

I am a founding partner of Harmonia: Madison Center for Psychotherapy a state certified mental health clinic that has been serving Madison Wisconsin and the surrounding areas for over twenty five years. My clients are adult men and women with a wide variety of issues. I have in depth experience with childhood sexual and physical abuse, couple therapy, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, domestic violence, trauma and disassociation, women’s issues and transpersonal growth.  I offer consultation to professionals including those acquiring their 3,000 hours for accreditation.

This site features my Weblog which address current questions or issues that I feel are important. Many arise from my practice including Common Questions inspired by my clients[1].

There is also more information About Me and my areas of expertise, about my approach to Helping People, a set of Stories for the Unconscious Mind that were inspired by my work as a therapist and a few Articles. One of these articles, How to Choose the Right Therapist, and the following video clip of me  should be of interest if you are looking for a therapist.

This movie requires Adobe Flash for playback.

The most important element for success in therapy is your relationship with your therapist. No one therapist is right for every one so it is important to spend some time considering what you want from therapy and then taking the time to find the therapist that is right for you by looking around. Because I believe that this is so important, I am happy to offer a free initial session or consultation to assist people in their search.

If you think I can be of help there is information about how to Contact Me by e-mail or phone. You are of course encouraged to post to discussions on this site. I look forward to your comments and questions!

- Ann

To protect confidentiality I never use a particular clients words or story on this site (see Policies ).
